Land Rover has released information on the first new car that it's developed since the Range Rover - the all new Discovery.
This time out the car brings a brace of engines that includes a Jaguar-sourced 300bhp V8 and a 325lbs ft turbo-diesel V6, seven seats, all-independent suspension, improved road manners, and a sub £30k price tag. It makes its UK sales debut in October.
'According to managing director Matthew Taylor, the new Discovery is designed to dominate the sector it helped invent,' writes Steve Cropley. 'Its task is to maintain the versatile, family-friendly spirit of the original Discovery, while introducing new technology to broaden the model's appeal.'
